Improving public safety and emergency preparedness

Your safety comes first. I’ll secure resources for first responders, improve disaster plans, and eliminate 911 wait times. And I’ll work to create citizen oversight committees for police, fire and public works.

Incentivizing good-paying jobs, stronger economy

We need a local economy that puts our people first. I’ll work to incentivize organizations to commit to paying livable wages with great benefits. And I’ll support unions and fight unfair practices.

Enhancing roads, sidewalks and public transit

Safe streets for everyone. I’ll advocate for better sidewalks, ADA accessibility, and public transit including bus and rail. And of course, improved roads and shoulders.

Supporting animal welfare

Promote being a good caretaker. Support rescue programs, create more dog parks and enable no-kill shelters.

Protecting our neighborhoods

Development should blend with our city, not force us from our homes. I’ll push for responsible zoning to prevent outside commercial interests from overtaking our neighborhoods. And I’ll advocate for mixed use plans, accessory dwelling units, and tenants’ rights.

Investing in afterschool programs and libraries

Kids need safe, enriching spaces. I’ll work to expand afterschool programs, enhance libraries, and support community centers to keep them engaged.

Lowering the cost of basic healthcare for all

Push for city-funded initiatives such as free or subsidized healthcare for community college and trade / vocational school students, low-income families and others who need it the most.

Reducing gun violence, improving mental health

We can take practical steps to reduce gun violence while respecting responsible gun ownership. I’ll support city-led gun buyback programs, safe storage initiatives, and community-based violence prevention and mental healthcare resources. Every neighborhood deserves to feel secure.

Conserving our resources

Fort Worth is full of nature, from the rural outskirts to even our city core. I’ll honor and preserve our lands, rivers, lakes, and streams, guarding them against pollution and erasure so that we can all enjoy our public areas for years to come.
